What is MARA®?
MARA® stands for Minature Ascent Rate Alarm. This bright yellow diving safety accessory is only the size of a match box, and is designed to make diving safer by monitoring the ascent rate to help prevent decompression sickness. Ascent rate problems are the second biggest cause of decompression sickness or DCS.
How does it work?
Containing superior electronics and a high end industrial pressure sensor, MARA® detects changes in water pressure and analyses it against time and electronic dive tables. If MARA® detects the diver ascending at a rate faster than 10 meters/min, it sends an alarm warning to slow down. It even provides a Safety Stop at 5 meters.

Why use MARA®?
Many divers can't hear or see their dive
computer, or don't pay attention to their ascent rate. MARA® easily fits on any mask strip, and is audible to the diver even wearing a diving hood. It makes for a great addition to a dive computer, and can be used alone.
Is it easy to use?
Yes! Simply put MARA® on the mask strap and then forget about it! It fits comfortably and only the diver hears it. It can easily be heard with or without
a hood.
How long does it last?
Designed to last 5 years or 1,000 dive hours, which ever comes first. Battery operated, MARA® is only activated under water.
